0th bit/Everdrive forums aren't fully working due to wrong id's from importer. (fixing just takes time) 0th bit posts will be added. Only major issue is the importer copied html/classes which show so need to find a way to strip/convert. this was caused from converting html rips back to SQL. It was recently found that USBHDFSD had an issue with not correctly computing the number of sectors to read, which was why there was sometimes corruption. The amazing thing was that it seemed to have no issues reading files, but surely something did not work right...
So if anybody wants to try using a newer driver, you can copy the USBHDFSD module from FMCB v1.965 (November release).[/quote]

</div> I've tried "usbd.irx" & "usbhdfsd.irx" from 03\11\2018 FMCB\FHDB installer
with few FMV (e.g Tomb Raider II, Colin McRae Rally 2.0, Legacy of Kain - Soul Reaver).

It seems that everything should be fine (there ware no cracking sound or stuttering).

If anybody else want to make a test, I've upload these drivers with icon for PS2 MC Browser.
After unpacking, copy POPSTARTER folder on the root of a MC.

Thanks <a class="username" data-user="65830, @sp193" href="https://assemblergames.com/members/65830/">@sp193</a> for a suggestion.

EDIT: Added USB drivers from 05/11/2018.

I am using POPSTARTER RIP 06 (Latest release I believe)

Here's a fix that I found:

Game Name - Game ID:
WWF Wrestlemania: The Arcade Game - SLUS_000.13
<div style="text-align: left">Fix modes(s): HDD: Compatibility Mode 7 | SMB: Compatibility Mode 6 | USB: ? (Haven't Tried)
Fix Description: Fixes sound glitches that happen during the game. Now everything is working as it should.</div>

Some games that I've tested which I could not find fixes for what's so ever:

Game Name - Game ID: Spider-Man - SLUS_008.75
Issue: Major texture problems. Tried all modes and Bios'. Nothing helps.

Game Name - Game ID: Spider-Man 2: Enter: Electro - SLUS_013.78
Issue: Major texture problems. Tried all modes and Bios'. Nothing helps.

Game Name - Game ID: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - SLUS_010.66
Issue: Major texture problems. Tried all modes and Bios'. Nothing helps.

Game Name - Game ID: NHL Open Ice: 2 On 2 Challenge - SLUS_003.27
Issue: Freezes after the intros or at the title screen. Tried all modes and Bios'. Nothing helps.

They are not the same?

</div> I think I do not fully precise my post.

Previously (14/10/2017) when I tested USB drivers from FMCB\FHDB I've got:
<a class="internalLink" href="https://assemblergames.com/threads/ps2-pops-stuff-popstarter.45347/page-110#post-951301">https://assemblergames.com/threads/ps2-pops-stuff-popstarter.45347/page-110#post-951301</a> .

That's why <a class="username" data-user="105594, @kHn" href="https://assemblergames.com/members/105594/">@kHn</a> decide to embed old USB (not from newest at that time FMCB\FHDB) drivers into r13 RIP 06.

Now these problems when I tried USB drivers from 03\11\2018 in few FMV that I've tested are gone.
Although, <span style="text-decoration: underline">I do not have got time for deeper tests</span> .
Currently for about 2 weeks I'll be busy.

</div> No, they are not the same.
I named then that, because I've taken them from 03\11\2018 FMCB\FHDB Installer.
USB Drivers are from 27\10\2018.
I can be confusing, but I prefer to rely on overall package name which was [181103]FMCB-1965-bin.

USB drivers from 05\11\2018 have got:
Updated USBHDFSD: improved compatiblity with disks that have no partition table.

If you paste files onto USB disks and have been using any version of LaunchELF made between June 2018 and the end of October 2018, please replace it with a new version. Older versions of LaunchELF also had USBHDFSD modules that had less error checks, which also once gave me some problems.

Not every update results in a new version of FMCB. However, I have been compiling FMCB with bad versions of USBHDFSD until recently, which is why I felt that every patch could be deemed as a critical update.

I'm not sure that pfsshell will work through Virtual machine.
I mean, maybe your HDD needs to be mounted in settings of a Virtual machine?

Although try to launch "diskmgmt.msc" via Windows Explorer while you're in Win XP.
It should be located here:
<div class="bbCodeBlock bbCodeCode">
<div class="type">Code:</div>
<pre>C:\WINDOWS\system32\diskmgmt.msc</pre>
</div> It should shows you what devices are connected (FDD, HDD, etc).

If your PS2HDD will be shown as hdd5, then try this device.

BTW after looking for PS2HDD, pfsshell should return:
ps2hdd: drive status 0, format version 0000000 <span style="color: #006600">2[/span] ”.
You have:
ps2hdd: drive status 0, format version 0000000 <span style="color: #b30000">0</span> ”.
So it's not the PS2HDD.

PS: If you're using translator, <span style="text-decoration: underline">also put</span> original text in your native language,
because mostly translators sucks.

Okay, I read most of the help files in this and this tread and I have a few dumb questions.

Dumb question number #1 - Is this a PAL only emulator? I can't get any USA games to work, I keep no single is being received on my TV (It's a 1080p HTDV with a PS2 to HDMI Adaptor (Yes I know how most of you guys feel about this Adaptor but mine works great.. :/)

Dumb question number #2 - If it does work with some or most USA games, how to do I set POP to display for the USA?

Thanks! <img alt=":)" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" title="Smile :)"/>

Yo !
So, which USB drivers should I embed in POPStarter ?
Please let me know what recent drivers can be used without POPS to stutter like crazy; I need feedback with new sets of USB drivers + <a class="internalLink" href="https://assemblergames.com/threads/ps2-pops-stuff-popstarter.45347/page-119#post-978088">the last proto</a> , not with RIP 06, because RIP 06 (and all the previous Revision 13 builds) have a severe design fault impacting perfs.
I'm worried about the 4yo USB drivers, it's just wrong to keep compiling the launcher with them. But everytime I've embedded precompiled IRXes of more recent revisions, a wild fuckup appeared <img alt=":(" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie3" src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" title="Frown :("/> .

I had some time off so i dug up my PS2 with popstarter.
Question, because I didn't have a decent scart and/or component input, i use the hdmi adapter. Anyone here that has experience with that adapter? Because I didn't change my setup and a lot of games stopped working. The adapter needs one of the usb ports to function.
I launch my games from HDD OSD with WIP 06.
Btw the picture quality is worst then through scart or component.

If <a class="username" data-user="101545, @Jolek" href="https://assemblergames.com/members/101545/">@Jolek</a> had some successes, then I suppose it is fine to release a new bundle with the new USB modules. If it somehow cannot shine, then I will be willing to try to help you debug this.

USBHDFSD modules made between June 8th and late October 2018 have defects, causing then to be unable to correctly write data to USB disks. So please do not use any such versions.
